Terms and Conditions
Cancellation:
A booking cancelled 7-10 weeks prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 30% of the total balance of the reservation. A booking cancelled 4-6 weeks prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 60% of the total rental. A booking cancelled 3 weeks or less prior to your arrival, will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of your total booking. Cancellations must be notified by a written confirmation emailed to info@hooklessholidayhomes.com
Booking Deposits:
We require a 30% booking deposit, in order to secure your reservation, at the time of booking. This will automatically be debited from the card you provided with the booking. All booking deposits are non-refundable, however can be transferred to an alternative date, where feasible, subject to the agreement of Hookless Holiday Homes. The remaining 70% will be taken and debited from your card , 10 weeks prior to arrival. Please note that any bookings that are made through an external booking party, e.g. booking.com, a non-refundable full payment is required at the time of booking in order to secure your reservation.
Change of Booking:
Any bookings made after the 18th May 2021, will be subject to a charge of €30.00, if a guest wishes to transfer their booking to a later date. Transfer of bookings are only available subject to both the agreement of Hookless Holiday Homes and availability. Please note also that original rates of booking may not be honoured, depending on the season in which you wish to change your booking to.
Breakage deposit:
We require a €100 breakage deposit per house per guest booking. This will be refunded upon checkout, providing the house and all of its contents are left in the same condition as they were prior to arrival. Please note that it can take up to 7 days for your breakage deposit o be refunded. Any guest who has booked one of our holiday homes for only 1 night, will be required to pay a €200 breakage deposit. Also, any guests who are under 21 who have booked a holiday home will be required to pay a €100 breakage for each adult staying in a house. All breakage deposits are due 7-10 days prior to arrival, and will be automatically be debited from your card that you provided at the initial booking. If you wish to use a different card, please contact reception.
Accommodation Capacity:
The number of people staying in each Holiday Home must not exceed a maximum capacity of 5 adults and one infant. Each house comes with one double bed, four single beds and one cot.
Property Cleanliness:
Each guest is asked to leave their allocated holiday home in the same condition as they had found it. We reserve the right to refuse refund of breakage deposit, if the house is left in an unsatisfactory condition. All guests must strip the beds and leave dirty linen and towels in the hallway or downstairs bathroom on the day of their departure. Also, when using the oven, we ask guests to use the tinfoil provided in each house, for grills and oven trays
Group Bookings:
While we try our best to accommodate group bookings in neighbouring houses, this may not always be feasible due to high capacity levels. If a guest requests to be placed in houses beside or near another party, we take these requests as a first come, first serve basis. We also ask that we only have one person as the point of contact for a group booking i.e one name on file and one credit card etc,.
Electricity:
We do not charge guests for usage of electricity between 20th of June and 15th of September. From the 16th of September through to 19th June, we provide guests with 100 units of electricity a week or 15 units per day, depending on length of stay at our property. Any more units of electricity used after this quota has been reached, a fee of €0.20 per unit will be charged to the guest thereafter.
Right to Refuse:
Hookless Holiday Homes reserve the right to refuse, alter and cancel a booking, even after receipt of final payment.
Behaviour:
We reserve the right to refuse to hand over any home to any person who, in the opinion of the management, is not suitable to take charge. Likewise, rental of the home may be terminated with no refund at the discretions of the supervisor or any officer of the company if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, endanger the safety or wellbeing of other clients in the complex or that of the client himself, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstances deemed reasonable by the supervisor or any officer of the company.
On the expiry or termination of rental, the supervisor or any officer of the company may remove all belongings of the clients from the home left on the property and store or otherwise deal with same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times be the responsibility of the client.
Default by the Client:
The client is obliged to ensure that all documentation and details issued to you by Hookless Holiday Homes are correct. In the event that you are not in agreement with the documentation, it must be brought to our attention immediately.
Amenities:
We provide 1 full set of linens (on the beds) & bath towels. We do not provide cleaning supplies, toiletries or kitchen cloths. There is a solid fuel stove/fireplace in each house (except 107/110) and while you are welcome to use this, we advise exercising caution and do not provide supplies. There is a cot and highchair in each house, we do not provide cot linens. Furniture can also not be moved from house to house,
Toilets:
The toilets are connected to a central waste treatment system. Similar to a septic tank, please do not flush sanitary items down the toilet. Please use the bathroom bins provided.
Keys:
You will be provided with a key to your home, please return the key to reception on your departure. Loss of the key will result in a €15 replacement fee.
Water:
Water is supplied by private wells and is tested and certified fit for drinking. Please try to avoid running all 3 showers at the same time as the pressure may not be sufficient to refill the tank in time which could lead to an air lock in the system. In the interest of all residents you are asked to conserve water, where possible.
Communication and Information: (GDPR):
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018, all personal and other information and details collected will not be disclosed to any third party except without the express written authority from the holidaymaker. We may retain your information for the purposes of contacting you to advice of special offers etc with regard to the Holiday Village. Please note that telephone calls between the holidaymaker and the Hookless Holiday Homes may be recorded for training and quality control purposes.
Liability:
Hookless Holiday Homes, its employees or agents are not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the cottage or on site during the stay or on departure. Standard insurances are in place within the holiday complex, but these insurances do not cover the loss or damage of any personal belongings taken into the houses by holidaymakers. Should your own household policy or indeed holiday insurance not cover these items, we recommend that you make alternative arrangements.
Property:
All furniture, utensils, equipment in or on the property are to be kept within the property at all times. The property is to be kept in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of occupation.
On leaving the property we would expect the following to be done:
- The House should be left in the same state, repair and condition as at the commencement of occupation.
- All rubbish to be removed and placed in the bins provided
- All plates, pots, pans cutlery and utensils shall be washed and placed back in place
- Failure to do so will result in an extra cleaning charges with a minimum being €50.00 for failure to do any of the above.
- Wireless Facilities:
- Internet access, where available, is not guaranteed. We are connected to Eir broadband, and have boosters attached to lamp posts around Hookless village to better distribute the coverage. As we are located along the Coast, signal and quality of WIFI is not always guaranteed, so we encourage guests who are staying with us during the Summer months, which is our peak season, to bring along internet boosters or try have relevant content already downloaded to your device prior to arrival.
The facility is subject to particular security and has limited filtering measures and requires continuous parental security when used by children. We reserve the right to disclose your name and address to our internet service provider if we discover that you or a member of you party illegally downloaded certain content from the internet or otherwise engaged in unlawful activity whilst using this facility.
Dogs and Pets:
An additional charge of €35 per stay will be charged where a guest brings a pet. A guest shall be liable for all damage caused by his or her pet. The guest/owner is responsible for keeping the dog under effectual control. We refer you to the Control of Dogs Act, 1986 and in particular to Section 21 which deals with liability of the owner for damage done by the dog. Please note that Hookless Holiday Homes accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage or injury caused by any dog brought to the Holiday Village.
Each dog shall be properly supervised and be kept on a lead at all times when outside your accommodation.
If we, at our absolute discretion, conclude the dog to be dangerous or to be the cause of nuisance, harm or threat to anyone we may ask you to remove it from the village without compensation or have it removed to kennels at your expense
Day visitors are not permitted to bring dogs or pets.
